Terms &
Conditions
Effective date: 1 August 2024
These terms and conditions govern your use of Drip N Dry Laundrette's services, whether provided in-store at 6 Church Street, Keighley, BD21 5HS, or requested via our website or by telephone. By using our services, you agree to these terms.
General
- Drip N Dry Laundrette provides self-service laundry facilities and professional laundry services.
- These terms apply to all customers using our premises and services.
- We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Self-Service Use
- Self-service machines are provided for customer use at the customer's own risk.
- Customers are responsible for selecting the correct wash programme for their garments.
- We are not liable for damage caused by incorrect programme selection or overloading machines.
- Please follow all in-store instructions displayed near the machines.
- Do not leave items unattended for extended periods. We are not responsible for items left in machines.
Service Wash
- When leaving items with us for a service wash, you accept that we will handle them using our standard professional processes.
- We will make reasonable efforts to follow any specific care instructions provided. If no instructions are given, we will use our best judgement based on the fabric and garment type.
- Estimated completion times (typically 24 hours) are provided in good faith and are not guaranteed.
- Items not collected within 14 days of completion may be donated or disposed of. We will attempt to contact you before doing so.
Liability for Garments
- We take great care with every item entrusted to us. However, our liability for damage or loss is limited.
- In the unlikely event of damage or loss caused by our negligence, our maximum liability is limited to the current reasonable replacement value of the item, not the original purchase price.
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage or wear, or for damage caused by inherent weaknesses in the fabric or construction of a garment.
- Items with care labels that prohibit machine washing or commercial cleaning processes are accepted entirely at the customer's risk.
- We recommend that customers inspect items upon collection and report any concerns before leaving the premises.
High-Value Garments
Where we agree to clean a high-value garment, this is done entirely at the customer's own risk. We accept no liability for damage, discolouration or other adverse outcomes to high-value items.
- Expensive garments, including but not limited to Moncler, Canada Goose, Burberry and similar high-value items, may only be accepted after in-store inspection by a member of staff.
- We reserve the right to decline to clean any high-value garment at our discretion.
- Customers are advised to disclose the approximate value of any garment before leaving it with us.
Stain Removal
- We will make reasonable efforts to treat and remove stains, but stain removal cannot be guaranteed.
- Results depend on the type and age of the stain, the fabric, and the cleaning process available to us.
- We will always advise honestly on the likelihood of success before proceeding.
- We are not liable if a stain cannot be fully removed despite reasonable effort.
Payments
- Payment is due on collection of laundry, or as otherwise agreed in advance.
- We accept cash and debit/credit card payments. Self-service machines accept coins or card where indicated.
- Prices quoted in-store or online are subject to change without notice. Pricing applies at the time of service.
- Service wash pricing is based on actual weight measured at time of collection or drop-off.
- We reserve the right to retain items until payment is received in full.
Booking & Cancellation
- Online booking requests are not confirmed until you receive confirmation from us by phone or email.
- If you need to cancel or rearrange, please contact us as soon as possible on 07539 829965.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where we are unable to fulfil it, with reasonable notice.
Collection & Delivery
- Collection & delivery is available in our local area. Coverage and pricing are confirmed at booking.
- Customers must ensure items are accessible and ready for collection at the agreed time.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control (traffic, weather, etc.).
- Items for delivery must be signed for or left with a nominated person. We are not responsible for items left unattended after delivery.
Refunds & Complaints
- If you are dissatisfied with any part of our service, please raise the matter with us as soon as possible, ideally before leaving the premises.
- Complaints should be made within 48 hours of collecting your laundry.
- Where a genuine error on our part has occurred, we will work with you to find a fair resolution, which may include a partial refund or a repeat clean.
- We do not offer refunds on self-service machine use once a wash or dry cycle has started.
